Alumni Engagement

The Office of Alumni Engagement develops, coordinates and promotes programs and events for our more than 170,000 Niner alumni. Alumni Engagement also provides opportunities for current students to develop meaningful connections with Niner alumni and stay connected to UNC Charlotte post-graduation.

Auxiliary Services/Meal Plans

Through UNC Charlotte Auxiliary Services, students can add a meal plan or make changes to their selection.

Center for Integrated Care

The Center for Integrated Care promotes the vision of the Health & Wellbeing Unit by offering comprehensive campus & community resources, continuity of care services, and outreach supports & programming, to address the nuanced needs of a student’s functioning; ultimately impacting all other dimensions of wellbeing, namely academic functioning to include retention and matriculation.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

The Center for Counseling at Psychological Services (CAPS) is a department within the Division of Student Affairs at UNC Charlotte. CAPS, along with the Student Health Center, the Center for Wellness Promotion, the Center For Integrated Care, and University Recreation, is a component of Health and Wellbeing, an administrative unit whose primary goal is to provide comprehensive wellness-related programs and services to UNC Charlotte students. Services offered include individual and group counseling, consultation, referrals, outreach, and training.

Disability Services

The Office of Disability Services is the University office designated to determine reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. They work to ensure programs, services, and campus are accessible in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the ADA Amendments Act.

Future Alumni Network (FAN)

FAN is a membership-based student organization that seeks students to strengthen our Niner Nation traditions, network with alumni, and increase the culture of giving at UNC Charlotte. For a $49 one-time membership fee, students receive limited edition swag and access to exclusive networking, alumni, and athletics events for the duration of their time as a UNC Charlotte student!

Jamil Niner Student Pantry

The Jamil Niner Student Pantry provides food assistance to UNC Charlotte students and employees experiencing food insecurity. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life. Our pantry offers a variety of nutritious non-perishable and fresh foods on a weekly basis to currently registered UNC Charlotte students and to UNC Charlotte employees experiencing food insecurity. 

Niner Central

Niner Central provides a single location for you to go for services related to registration, transcripts, financial aid, student accounts, billing and tuition, academic calendars, and more. Students have the convenience of taking care of administrative tasks online, 24/7 through the Niner Central website. 

Niner Finances

Niner Finances provides programming, resources, education, and guidance for student financial success.

Swipe Out Hunger

Swipe Out Hunger is a nation-wide program that partners with colleges to help put an end to student hunger and assist those who struggle with food insecurity. Leadership & Community Engagement has partnered with Chartwells Dining Services, Auxiliary Services, Student Assistance and Support Services, and the Sustainability Office to bring this program to UNC Charlotte.

Student Assistance and Support Services

The mission of Student Assistance and Support Services (SASS) is to assist, support and advocate for students experiencing a broad range of issues, concerns or challenges interfering with a student’s ability to be successful academically or personally.

Student Health Center

The UNC Charlotte Student Health Center (SHC) provides primary medical care, disease prevention, health education, wellness promotion, and various specialty services to all registered UNC Charlotte students, regardless of the type of health insurance they carry. The Student Health Center is part of the campus team that coordinates responses to infectious disease outbreaks and is the university's liaison to the Mecklenburg County Health Department. We provide the campus with important public health services.

Student Involvement

The Student Involvement Office connects students to engagement opportunities throughout campus. They advise students on creating impactful experiences that cultivate community and strive to develop equity-minded student leaders.

Student Legal Services, Inc.

UNC Charlotte Student Legal Services, Inc. (SLS) provides free legal advice, limited representation, and resources to enrolled students. SLS is also available for presentations to student organizations and classes to educate students on their rights and responsibilities under the law. SLS is funded by student activity fees through the Student Activity Fee Commission. Services are provided to students at no additional charge.
