Legal Aid of North Carolina
Legal Aid of North Carolina provides free legal support services for students. They also provide educational resources on housing laws and renting in North Carolina.
Parks and Recreation
The Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department works to enhance community wellness by providing recreational opportunities, open space, and nature education programs for all ages and abilities throughout the County. The Department is home to 230 parks and facilities located on more than 21,000 acres of parkland throughout Mecklenburg County.
The Light Rail
The LYNX Blue Line connects UNC Charlotte with the neighborhoods and business districts from University City to uptown to as far south as Pineville. Light rail also provides greater accessibility for the citizens of the region to the resources of the University. Light rail stations at Ninth Street (beside UNC Charlotte Center City), J.W. Clay/UNC Charlotte at North Tryon Street, and the UNC Charlotte Main Station along Cameron Boulevard at Wallis Hall (near North Deck) bring the convenience of light rail to the University's doorstep.
